Well over the weekend as you know we prepared 10 chickens. We had ourselves a nice little assembly line and within a couple of hours the fridge and freezer were full.
We decided on 4 birds that would be roasts that went straight in the freezer. 6 smaller birds we decided would be better off made into meals. So after a busy time today I now have 11 meals in the freezer (remember I feed a family of 6) so breaking it up between other meals we have enough to last 5 or 6 weeks.
So the next move is to buy bulk pork and lamb and I will be right for a few months again.



Great to know you have a good supply of meat isn’t it? Plucking is pretty tedious though, do you have an particular techniques you use? I’ve plucked a lot of ducks – all that down is a nightmare!
