At present it has an old splint on it to relieve the ache… pain… discomfort. It is really hard to describe the sensation. I have noticed it in my ankle as well and if it keps up I will be trying to find a splint for it as well.
The best way to describe it is a sensation of separation, as if the joints are trying to move apart. It is uncomfortable to mildly painful to move it but once strapped it feels fine. So the splint may remain on it for a few days.
It doesn’t stop me from doing things just makes it more awkward. I am lucky that the girls are older and able to care for themselves a little better. The baby birds aren’t a problem and if worse comes to worse i can take the splint off.
