It is going to be a painful few weeks.
One that I will do with gladness in my heart.
These are 2 of 23 fertile eggs due to hatch in the next couple of weeks. Normally they would stay with their mums and dads and I would have nothing much to do with them.
But due to the conure Sunny being sick we have had to medicate all the birds. This particular medication causes problems with the eggs. These eggs though were laid well before the meds started.
The other problem is that this medication is fatal to baby birds the amount they consume must be strictly controlled and a baby peach face is a lot smaller then a grown one. So to save their little lives I am going to try and hand raise these little ones.
I am going to be feeding them every one to two hours depending on their crop and I could end up with 23 of the little suckers so my days could be really really full. Maybe they won’t all hatch though.

Wow! My conure was a peach-faced, noisy little so-and-so! These are so tiny, it must be a real labour of love feeding them – hope it all goes well.
they sure are funny looking – good luck keeping them alive … i have my blog linked to sparrow fart and need to update it, can you link back to me from this new blog too ? im a bear artist really just digressed lately with demand and health matters !
